With many new inventions taking place in the Indian cinema. The Short Film has also become an important part of cinema. We all know that the short film explains its topic through a smaller video referring to its name, thus this year's Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2021 has organized a new category for short films.

Talking about the Best Short Film awards, various short films were enlisted for the award. Among which actress Neena Kulkarni's short-film Devi became the one to win the award.

After winning the Filmfare award for Best Short Film, Neena took to her Insta to share a celebration post on her Insta handle. The actress shared a collage of pictures with director Priyanka Banerjee and producers Ryan Stephen and Niranjan Iyengar, while they held their black lady.

Talking about Devi, the women-centric short film is a story of 9 oppressed women. It depicts the life journey of these women who are from different backgrounds and each having their own story. The multi-starrer short film stars actresses Kajol, Shruti Haasan, Neha Dhupia, Mukta Barve, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Yashaswini Dayama, Sandhya Mhatre, Rama Joshi, and Neena in the lead roles. The film has gained a huge response since its release on the 2nd of March, this year. The audience loved the concept making it worthy of the Filmfare award.

On the work front, actress Neena Kulkarni will soon be making an appearance on the big screen with director Nikhil Mahajan’s upcoming Marathi blockbuster, Godavari.
